Civil Wars and Widows
There’s an uprising inside of me and it’s starting in my head.
Thoughts of rage and rebellion steam over and if you look long enough you can see the fire in my eyes.
There’s an uprising inside of me and I can feel it on my tongue.
Harsh, brash words tear through my intestines. I can feel the words clawing their way out. I’m watching the faces of those I love change from elation to sorrow when I speak.
There’s an uprising inside of me and I see it in my dreams. Images of burning buildings and dead bodies. I can smell it and I can taste it and it is very real. I’ve done this, in my dreams I’ve done this all.
There’s an uprising inside of me and it will end with my hands.
When words aren’t enough and thoughts don’t suffice your hearts evil desires, what will you do?
There’s a revolution stirring in my heart, but I think I’ll leave it there.
